Collins Window

Image 4 of 15

This contemporary window was created and installed in the Spring of 1980 in memory of Shorts Collins. Shorts' wife, Betty, and their eight children wanted the window to reflect his love for the Cowichan Valley - the blue sky, the mountains, the waters of the Cowichan and Koksilah Rivers, and the lush green vegetation of the Valley are prominent features of this window. The two children represent Shorts' love for children, while the white cross represents the guiding light that lives in all of us.
