Faith formation is a lifelong journey toward a deeper awareness of who Jesus is in our lives and in our relationships. At Duncan United Church, faith formation includes all that we do to nurture ongoing spiritual and faith development. It happens wherever we encounter God – in our worship, our Bible and faith studies, our prayer groups. It happens any time we gather together as a parish family – or in the silence of our own meditations.

We offer a number of programs and activities which bring us to an awareness of God in Christ. For more information, please call the church office or speak to our minister.

Continuing Education

The Faith Formation Group of Duncan United Church seeks to encourage members of the congregation to pursue educational opportunities related to faith development and spiritual growth. To this end, individual grants will be made available to applicants for the purpose of assisting with registration, reading, and resource materials. Study opportunities may be within the United Church of Canada or within the wider ecumenical spectrum of the Church community.

Although financial need will always be taken into consideration, the purpose of the grants is primarily to encourage continuing faith development studies.

Applicants are encouraged to share their learnings with the larger church family in ways that would benefit the church community. Such venues might include Bible and Faith study groups, special workshops, and services or worship. For more information on these opportunities, please contact the church office.
