The Circle of Friends formed in the Fall of 2002 to provide the option of an evening meeting time for women who may still be busy with jobs or family during the day. Although not officially a branch of the UCW, their goals are similar – to build supportive relationships, develop faith through study, and contribute to the work of the church.

Meeting on the third Monday of the month provides the opportunity for an informal chat over a cup of tea and a program planned by the members. In the past they have studied women of the bible, done a book study, shared travel adventures and had many guest speakers.  In December they venture out for a Christmas luncheon and the highlight of the year comes in June when they do a scavenger hunt somewhere in the valley.

The Circle of Friends coordinates the Silent Auction at the Harvest Fair in the fall and knits for the prayer shawl program that they began a few years ago. They meet several times a year for “Chili and Movie Night”, when they fill the freezer with nutritious meals for distribution to those in need in our community.

All are welcome to join this circle of women!
